It is important that we all make the effort toward living a more authentic life.  As living beings we are but a small facet of our authentic selves, or a mere reflection of our consciousness.  Our consciousness is much more than who we are as individuals.  When we choose to come into a life we are limited by our physical being, ego, personality, society, culture, etc… These elements encapsulate us and limit our perception of who we are on the soul level.  At first these elements serve a useful purpose because they help us to understand and navigate our lives.  However, over time, and over many lives, these elements inhibit our growth because they prevent us from connecting with our authentic selves.  So we begin the process of discarding those elements that no long serve us.  Eventually we begin to see ourselves through a different lens, one that is more open to, or closely aligned with our authentic selves.  Our authentic self did not change, but how we perceive our current life in relation to our authentic self changed.

Transformation is a process that can go fast or slow in a lifetime.  The process repeats itself over many lifetimes.  The speed at which it occurs depends upon the person’s attunement between the life they are living and the agreement, or contract, they made when the chose to come into this life as a living being.  The process of transformation causes people to change the manner in which they perceive their world.  This process very often is painful, and it seems that those incidents or situations that cause the most pain often lead to the greatest degree of change and transformation.  While not necessary for transformation, pain does seem to be the most effective means of getting people’s attention and compelling them to change their perception.
